Pfizer vaccine protection against infection declines to 64% in Israel – Fox News

Israel on Monday said the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine was still extremely effective in avoiding major health problem, while also reporting a reduction in avoiding infections and symptomatic disease. The vaccine efficiency of preventing infection and symptomatic disease fell to 64% considering that June 6, the Health Ministry said, Reuters reported.

The ministry did not divulge what the previous effectiveness level versus infections was before the decrease. Around 60% of Israels population has received at least one shot of the Pfizer vaccine.
