Law enforcement investigating deadly shooting in Goleta | NewsChannel 3-12 – KEYT

Law enforcement officers along with cops pet dogs were on scene at Anita Lane and Burtis Street.

Our Newschannel reporter on scene stated there were some students on school at Hollister Elementary School. Because of COVID-19 pandemic, there were fewer trainees than regular.

The suspect is still outstanding. He was last seen wearing white baggy blue denims and a gray shirt. County Sheriffs say he is considered armed and dangerous.

Someone was found dead in the cars and truck and another was required to the healthcare facility.

The criminal offense was reported Thursday afternoon at around 1 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the scene of the shooting on the 600 block of Burtis Street.

The principal of the school says all the trainees were safe.

Officials say the suspect is still exceptional but is believed to have fled prior to police getting here..

The investigation is ongoing.

GOLETA, Calif. – The Santa Barbara County Sheriffs Office is examining a shooting that occurred in the unincorporated location of Goleta Thursday afternoon.

A section of Burtis was closed for the examination.


A shelter in place was positioned from Hollister to the bike path in between Turnpike to Patterson. Helicopters were flying in the location to inform citizens.

The shelter in location order was lifted at around 3:15 p.m.

He was last seen wearing white baggy blue jeans and a gray shirt. County Sheriffs state he is thought about dangerous and armed.
