LOS ANGELES (CBSLA)– Los Angeles County health officials upgraded the countys travel advisory Monday in reaction to the new federal guidance provided last week.

Under the countys brand-new advisory, travelers who are not completely immunized must quarantine for seven complete days if they have a negative test within 3 to five days after getting here in the county. They must quarantine for 10 full days if they do not get tested.
” You do not need to get tested or self-quarantine if you are completely immunized or have recuperated from COVID-19 in the previous three months,” CDC officials stated. “You need to still follow all other travel recommendations.”

” For example, fully immunized grandparents can fly to visit their healthy grandkids without getting a COVID-19 test, or self quarantining, supplied they follow the other suggested avoidance measures,” CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said at a White House briefing on Friday.
The CDC and L.A. County officials both advise that tourists continue to use masks on mass transit and advise travelers to practice social distancing and to regularly use or clean hands hand sanitizer.
People who are not vaccinated are still advised by the CDC to delay any travel, “because travel increases your opportunity of getting and spreading COVID- 19.”
Monday, the county reported one new COVID-19 death, and 366 additional cases, noting that the numbers tend to be synthetically low on Mondays due to reporting lags from the weekend.MORE NEWS: COVID Hospitalizations Below 550 In LA County, Under 100 In Riverside
