If You’re Unvaccinated, The CDC Wants You To Stay Home This Labor Day Weekend

” People who are completely vaccinated, and who are using masks, can travel,” Walensky said. “Although, provided where we are with illness transmission right now, we would say that individuals require to take these dangers into their own consideration as they consider taking a trip.”

If youre not immunized, you shouldnt travel over the long Labor Day weekend. If you are not fully vaccinated and choose to take a trip within the U.S. anyway, the CDC recommends that you take the following preventative measures: Get tested 1-3 days prior to travel Get evaluated 3-5 days after travel and self-quarantine for 7 days. Self-quarantine for 10 days if you do not get tested Self-monitor for signs Wear a mask and take other safety measures throughout travel
