EAST PROVIDENCE– East Providence High School was closed Tuesday due to favorable coronavirus cases.
Supt. Kathy Crowley stated the high school relocated to remote knowing Tuesday after a favorable case of the coronavirus was reported Monday.
She would not verify whether the test favorable case was a trainee or staff individual.
The extra day will give the state Department of Health the chance to conduct contact tracing to see who, if anybody, requires to quarantine.

Classes at the high school are expected to resume in person Wednesday.
Additionally, the seventh grade at Martin Middle School has transitioned to remote knowing due to the fact that 9 teachers have actually been directed to quarantine due to distance to a favorable case of the virus. The remainder of the school remains open.
