Gov. Ron DeSantis spoke in Fort Myers Wednesday at the Florida Department of Health– Lee.
His message: Early treatment saves lives.
DeSantis continued his tour across the state promoting the success of monoclonal antibody treatment. “Since weve been doing those treatments, weve seen a decline in the hospital census for COVID, weve seen a decline in the emergency situation gos to for COVID”

However, at Lee Health, their census reached 100% healthcare facility capability on Monday.
During the press conference, DeSantis invited three individuals who got the monoclonal antibody treatment at the state-run websites in Southwest Florida. All three seem like it conserved them from being hospitalized.
DeSantis continued to promote the vaccine as the first line of defense versus the infection.

“I believe what were seeing is the vaccinations are required, not adequate; youve got ta have something on the back end too. Youve got ta have treatment alternatives,” he added.
