A total of 8,061 Marylanders have died as an outcome of the infection.
Hospitalizations now stand at 947, up 14 since Friday. Of those, 238 clients are in ICU beds, while 709 remain in intense care.
The statewide positivity rate went down somewhat to 4.58%.
Since Saturday, 877,651 Marylanders are completely vaccinated. The state has administered 2,481,607 dosages in total: 1,603,956 first doses and 812,297 second doses.
Some Marylanders got their very first dose of the vaccine this weekend at Koinonia Baptist Church in northeast Baltimore.
I m thankful that I did get the shot, Harold Cook stated.
This vaccination center was one of the very first of a brand-new initiative started by Johns Hopkins Medicine and African American church leaders who are attempting to bring the vaccine into communities where the pandemic has struck the hardest and where some deal with many barriers to accessing it.
I d rather take it and not to have that mess than to mess around and get it and pass away, Dicky McNair said.READ MORE: AAA: Maryland, National Gas Price Averages Decrease
This week, Gov. Larry Hogan revealed 6 more mass vaccination websites will open in April in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Frederick, Harford, Howard and Montgomery counties.
It really is, as I ve stated, a race in between versions and vaccines and we re trying to get as many individuals vaccinated, Gov. Hogan stated this week.
We ve developed an infrastructure that can put each and every single vaccine into someone s arm and we re finally going to getting that supply beginning next week, the governor included.
