A number of health systems, including in Maryland and D.C., have transferred to need coronavirus vaccines for their staff members, arguing that they are vital to secure staff and susceptible patients. The strategy has increased vaccination rates: More than 2,000 workers at the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia have received shots because the system announced in May that it would require all team member to be immunized by September, stated Patrick J.
