Calaveras County, CA– The public health department in Calaveras County reports that a male has actually passed away from complications associated with coronavirus.
The department notes that minimal information can be released due to HIPAA privacy laws, but he was over 65 years of ages, not able to recuperate after contracting the infection, and died in hospice care at his house. He lived in District Four, which extends from Angels Camp to Copperopolis.
Public Health Officer, Dr. Dean Kelaita, reports, “We are deeply saddened with the loss of life related to COVID-19 and use our deepest acknowledgements to the family. Our actions can be life modifying and effect real people in our community, so lets do everything we can to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to conserve lives.”
The general public health department adds that the male had underlying health conditions.
