The Office of the Medical Investigator at the University of New Mexico stated 38-year-old Wanda Griffin died of a COVID-19 infection and listed substantial contributing conditions such as asthma and morbid weight problems. It stated Griffin “had been experiencing shortness of breath, which was not alleviated by her inhaler medication, and was provided oxygen before she collapsed.”
The Federal Aviation Administration said Spirit Airlines Flight 208, an Airbus A320, was leaving from Las Vegas on July, 24 and headed to Dallas-Fort Worth. The flight was diverted to Albuquerque, NM, due to the passengers medical issue.
” Looked like she (flight attendant) might have been in her 20s, she was so exhausted from attempting to perform CPR, she began sweating, like she was soaked with sweat. And so the individuals who actually do CPR I would question you know if they were affected by it or contaminated by it,” stated Burris.
Burris said after the report and from pals, she put two-and-two together and understood it was the exact same woman on her flight.
” Looked like she (flight attendant) might have been in her 20s, she was so exhausted from trying to perform CPR, she began sweating, like she was drenched with sweat. And she almost passed out herself because she just would not provide up, she actually was trying to conserve this lady. And there were times when we could hear the sibling say, Come on, you can do it. Begin, you can do it. Shes clapping, and so when she clapped, all of us began clapping because were believing, okay shes conscious, you understand, however she was unconscious,” described Burris.
Previously today, Dallas County announced it found out that over the summer a female died of COVID-19 passed away while on a Spirit Airlines flight back to North Texas.
” Her sibling was type of pacing backward and forward, and her sis resembled, Hey, if you men are praying people. I know you do not understand me or anything, this is my sis and were trying to get back home to her family. ” We realized she had actually died, she had actually passed away,” she said.
The flight landed in New Mexico where paramedics came onboard the flight.
